Digital Technology Foundations
OTS 7153
This course is for students who want to learn how to use many of the technical advances that they encounter every day. Students will learn how to use their cell phones (emphasis on iPhones) to view and send email, take and send pictures and other media, use video chat, send and receive text messages, use Maps to find places and navigate there, and use Calendar to keep up with their schedules. Students will also learn about individual tech topics of interest to them. Some topics that may be included are: QR Codes, PayPal, Facebook, Instagram, Zoom, Safari/Google Chrome, and using basic Microsoft Word and Excel. Students will be prepared to meet today’s technology challenges and confident in their ability to help clients and coworkers with their tech tasks. This course is instructor-led and delivered on campus. Prepayment of tuition is required. Students should bring their cell phones to the first class.
