The NEXT NC Scholarship is a financial aid program that helps most North Carolinians from households making $80,000 or less pursue higher education by fully covering tuition and fees at Rockingham Community College.

Students have flexibility in how they participate and complete the course. Attend classes in person, join the class online or completely online outside of the scheduled meeting time.

In 1963, the citizens of Rockingham County requested of the State Board of Education that a local community college be established. Since students first stepped into our classrooms in 1966, RCC has strived to serve, educate and train the community.
