President's Club

Join the 2026-2027 President's Club, led by RCC President Dr. Sylvia Cox! Take exclusive trips to see Wicked at Tanger Center, TopGolf, Greensboro Grasshoppers, Pin & Tee Entertainment Center, and more! The club is designed for students who want to grow as leaders, become more involved on campus, and connect with their community. Application deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14.

From IT to Industry

On an Information Technology path to the future, Franklin Spangler discovered something that didn’t just complement his IT background, it reshaped how he saw himself and his career: Mechatronics. “Before mechatronics, I was planning to go into one building, stay there, fix computers,” he says. “Now I feel like I can do a whole lot more—go into much broader areas, fix bigger machines.”

In 1963, the citizens of Rockingham County requested of the State Board of Education that a local community college be established. Since students first stepped into our classrooms in 1966, RCC has strived to serve, educate and train the community.
