Free Tuition for County Residents

Big news! Rockingham County residents can come to Rockingham Community College TUITION-FREE, thanks to the $1 million endowed Walter H. and Marilyn Moore Promise Scholarship! The scholarship is open to any Rockingham County resident with a minimum 2.0 GPA! Students can come to RCC full-time or part-time, and pursue an associate degree, diploma, certificate, or short-term workforce credential.

In 1963, the citizens of Rockingham County requested of the State Board of Education that a local community college be established. Since students first stepped into our classrooms in 1966, RCC has strived to serve, educate and train the community.
