Basic Machine Operations and Processes

This course covers the basic and technical skills needed to prepare student for advanced, high-performance manufacturing environment. Course topics may include safety, quality practices & measurement; manufacturing processes & production; maintenance awareness and green production. This course introduces core machining and manufacturing principles, emphasizing safety, metrology, blueprint reading, and machine operation. Students engage in hands-on operation, measurement, and CNC machining while learning Lean 5S workplace organization to improve efficiency, accuracy, and quality in modern machining environments. Upon completion, students will be prepared to sit for the Haas Basic Mill Operator certification and the Haas Basic Lathe Operator certification (72 Hours).

Cost: $249, but students can apply for a $180 Eagle Train and Gain Scholarship, for a total cost of $69.
