AI Prompt Engineering and Agent Development

This course introduces students to the principles and practical applications of prompt engineering and intelligent agent creation using modern generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools. Students will learn how large language models function, how to design effective prompts for text, image, and data-driven tasks, and how to build, test, and refine single-turn and multi-step AI agents for real-world use. Topics include prompt structures and strategies, tool use and orchestration, workflow automation, ethical and security considerations, and evaluating agent performance. Emphasis is placed on hands-on practice, with students creating agents to support tasks such as research, customer support, content generation, and business operations. Practical examples will demystify advanced AI concepts and equip students with skills applicable across industries. This course will be instructor-led and delivered on campus. Prepayment of tuition is required.
