Adobe Photoshop Fundamentals

This course introduces students to professional image editing and graphic design using Adobe Photoshop, a core application within Adobe Creative Cloud. Students will learn to create, edit, and enhance digital images for print, web, and multimedia applications. Emphasis is placed on foundational tools and workflows, including layers, selections, masks, color correction, typography, filters, and non-destructive editing techniques. Through hands-on projects, students will develop practical skills in photo retouching, compositing, and visual design while applying industry best practices for file management and export. Upon completion, students will be able to produce polished, professional-quality visual assets suitable for business and creative environments. Students will be responsible for purchasing an Adobe Creative Cloud license upon starting the course. Students should also bring their laptop to class. Class will meet face-to-face one night a week and a portion of the coursework will be delivered online. Prepayment of tuition and purchase of the course materials are required. Registration fees do not include certification exam fees.
