Childcare Assistance

NC Child Care Grant – which is a grant funded by the state of North Carolina to assist currently enrolled students with their child care expenses. It is meant to serve as partial and temporary child care funding while the student is enrolled in classes and is meeting the grant requirements.

If you or are experiencing hunger, the Eagle Fuel Food Pantry at RCC is here to help. We offer free food and essentials to support you during challenging times, no judgment, just assistance. Visit the pantry and let us help you stay focused on your goals.

Transportation Assistance

Rockingham Community College is conveniently located on the SKAT bus route, making it easier to get to campus. Visit their website for schedules as well as information on fares/passes.

Academic Support

Academic Support

RCC provides a variety of academic resources to help students succeed:

  • Tutoring Services: The Academic Resource Center (ARC) offers free, in-person tutoring for subjects like math and writing. Online tutoring is also available through ThinkingStorm via Moodle. Visit the RCC Tutoring Services webpage for details.
  • Testing Center: Need proctoring services? RCC’s Testing Center supports students at RCC, other institutions, and community members. Testing is by appointment only, so plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early, and ensure your test is completed before closing.
  • TRIO Student Support Services (SSS): This federally funded program provides free support to qualified students, including academic counseling and tutoring, to help them reach their educational goals.

Financial Aid

FAFSA Information

The FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) is a form that students will need to complete each academic year in order to receive Financial Aid. Need help completing it? Schedule an appointment with us!

  1. Create an Account with FAFSA (First time students)
  2. Complete the FAFSA
  3. Contact the Financial Aid office here at RCC once you have submitted your application.

The Finish Line Grant is designed to assist students who have faced an emergency or unexpected financial circumstance.
