Student Art Show debuts virtually
May 12, 2021
The Rockingham Community College Art Club curates and hangs an exhibition at the end of every semester for the art students at RCC. Spring 2021 is the first time the exhibition will be held virtually.

“Due to circumstances brought on by COVID-19, the ability for RCC’s Art Department to host our Student Art Show for the public has proven to be a challenge,” said Samantha Swinson, Art Club president. “However, those of us that call the Center for Creative Arts our second home were determined to produce an exhibition that not only showcased each student’s work attentively, but also kept viewers safe.”
Students and faculty worked together to present RCC’s first-ever digital Student Art Show.
“We are proud to be able to showcase the artworks of our talented and hardworking students for the 2021 spring semester. Despite tension from the pandemic these artists have persevered and shown to be dedicated to their work even in times of hardship,” Swinson said.
“We hope that you not only enjoy the art that they worked hard to put on display, but also that you let it inspire you to stay motivated and optimistic for the future during these challenging times just as the unwavering artists of RCC have been.”
