Hydraulics/Pneumatics Systems
HYD 3607
This 8-week course prepares graduates for industrial application and use of hydraulic systems and compressed air for pneumatic control and as a signaling medium. Get a complete overview of compressors, storage, dryers, distribution systems, circuit design, construction, and operation of a range of actuators, valves, and ancillary equipment.
Relevant ISO symbols are introduced and included in the circuit diagrams. This course ensures sound competence in the safe operation and maintenance of one of the most common automation elements in industrial applications. Students will learn how to read and interpret electro-pneumatics circuits and dive deeper into how to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic systems extending student knowledge of complex pneumatic systems. The program includes practical exercises on training equipment for setup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and fault elimination.
Successful students will pass three industry-recognized credential exams:
• Fundamentals Fluid Power for Pneumatics
• Fundamentals Fluid Power for Hydraulics
• Advanced Mechatronics Applied Fluid Power for Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Access to the exams, digital badges, and verification of credentials is available through RCC’s partnership with the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3).
