Fundamentals of Electricity – AC/DC
ELN 3113
This program introduces students to how Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things, smart factories, and cyberphysical systems are disrupting the manufacturing industry and the impact and implications that these advancements are introduced. Knowledge and skills will be learned that are required to work safely and effectively with electricity. The lab components of the training offer the student the opportunity to build, test, and troubleshoot AC/DC circuits and examine the operating voltages and currents related to proper circuit operation. Technicians will use various instruments to make circuit measurements and calculations.
Successful students will pass 3 industry-recognized credential exams:
- Industry 4.0 Fundamentals
- Electricity DC Fundamentals
- Electricity AC Fundamentals
Access to the exams, digital badges, and verification of credentials is available through RCC’s partnership with the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3).
