Foundations of AI: A Business Approach

This course is intended for students and professionals in any career pathway who need to understand Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on the workplace. Students will learn the history of AI, natural language processing, machine learning, generative AI, and computer vision. The course covers real-world business applications, AI’s role in cybersecurity and robotics, and key ethical considerations. In addition, students will develop hands-on prompt engineering skills by interacting with generative AI tools, including large language models, chatbots, and image generators, to improve workplace efficiency. This is a hybrid course. Class will meet face-to-face one night per week and a portion of the coursework will be delivered online. Prepayment of tuition and purchase of the course materials is required.
