RCC Community Day and Take Flight 5K

Rockingham Community College will host a fall community day, including the Take Flight 5K race, across the beautiful campus in Wentworth, North Carolina. Please join us for both!
There will be food trucks, games, music, etc. This is an event you won’t want to miss! You do not need to participate in the 5K to enjoy the other free events happening on campus. The race will take place between 10:00am-11:30am; the community event will run from 10:00am-2:00pm.
The race entry fee includes on-course refreshments, a t-shirt, and a goodie bag. All payments for the race must be made on the race sign-up page.
- Early Registration: $20 Ends September 1
- Regular Registration: $25 September 2 – September 11
- Late Registration: September 12 – September 16 (Participants signing up during these dates will not receive a t-shirt)
Same day of registration will be accepted; however, registration will need to be done through the race sign-up webpage.
- This is an out-and-back course.
- Start at water fountain in front of James Library.
- Turn-around in grassy field near track.
- Course is approximately 50% sidewalk/payment and 50% grass, dirt or gravel road. Trail running shoes not required
Water stations at 0.75 mile, 1.5 mile, and 2.25 mile markers respectively.
- Packet pick-up will be on September 16 and will begin at 9:00am.
- The race will start at 10:00am and will remain open until 11:30am for all participants.
- This will not be a chip timed race. All proceeds from the race will support the RCC athletic programs.
