PLC and Sensor Technology
ELN 3025
Get an introduction to sensor technology and programmable logic control (PLC) systems. Topics include limit switches, reed switches, inductive, capacitive AMR, and photo sensors common in the industrial automation field. Conduct hands-on experiments in the fundamental setup and calibration of basic sensor devices, with special attention on the selection of the right sensor, its connection, the correct setting, and functional checking. Work on Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley PLCs and Siemens PLCs.
Gain the knowledge to earn four industry-recognized credentials through the National Coalition of Certification Centers:
• Fundamentals of Sensor Technology
• Fundamentals of PLCs – Siemens
• Fundamentals of PLCs – Allen-Bradley
• Applied PLCs – Allen-Bradley
