Professional
DMV Dealer License: 6-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, July 21-24, online live. This course meets the 12-hour training requirement for individuals seeking an initial Used Motor Vehicle Dealer’s License. Content includes an in-depth review of North Carolina motor vehicle dealer rules, regulations, and application requirements. Students will be introduced to the forms and other required documentation for motor vehicle transactions as well as audit procedures conducted by the NCDMV. Cost: $74.
Notary: 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14 or July 19, RCC. Learn the qualifications of the notary public office and requirements for attestation, fees, general powers and limitations, certifications, oaths, affirmations and affidavits. Purchase of Notary manual is required. Cost: $73.

EMT Initial: 6-10 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. every other Saturday, July 8-Oct. 25, RCC. Learn basic life support skills. EMTs function in many areas including EMS systems, fire departments, hospitals, rescue squads, and physician offices. Completers will be eligible to sit for the North Carolina or National Registry EMT examination. Cost: $353. Ask about a scholarship.
Skills Only CPR: June 16-20 or July 14-18, RCC. Are you seeking an alternative to classroom training or wishing to renew an existing AHA certification? Schedule a practice session prior to taking the online cognitive portion of the certification test. Then, attend a hands-on skills practice and testing session with a certified AHA instructor. One-hour appointments can be made by calling 336-342-4261, ext. 2602. Cost: $40.

Computer Basics: 9 a.m.-noon Fridays, June 6-27, or 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, July 8-29, RCC. Develop computer skills essential for success in today’s technology-driven workplace. Course covers the basic functions of Microsoft Word and Excel, emailing, internet navigation, file organization, uploads/downloads, and resources for keyboarding skills. Cost: $70, but is waived for most students.
Fine Points of Furniture Construction: 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 3-Aug. 7, downtown Reidsville. Learn the heritage art of woodworking at an advanced level. Students need wood for projects, which they learned about in the pre-requisite Fundamentals of Woodworking course. Cost: $212 plus materials
