GED Graduation

Graduation for Career and College Readiness students who have earned their High School Equivalency Diplomas (GEDs).

Graduation Applications Due

This is the last day for students who will finish this summer and earn a certificate, diploma or associate degree to fill out their graduation applications. These students were invited to participate in the annual graduation ceremony in May 2026.

RCC Volleyball Youth Camp

Middle school and high school Volleyball Camp that will help spread some volleyball knowledge to local youth players, and raise money for the RCC Volleyball team.

RCC Board of Trustees

Healthcare and Education Leaders Roundtables

The Reidsville Area Foundation is hosting this event, which is a follow-up conversation to its Community Report release.

RockATOP Signing Ceremony

The RockATOP Apprentice Signing Ceremony showcases students being accepted into the program.

Local high school juniors and seniors participate in the Rockingham Apprenticeship and Technical Opportunities Program (RockATOP), a collaborative effort among Rockingham Community College, Rockingham County Schools, and local business and industry.

Students take RCC classes – with tuition, books and fees covered – and also gain skills as they work as a paid apprentice. Graduates earn an associate degree from RCC and may have the option to transfer those credits to a four-year university to earn a bachelor’s degree once they finish the apprenticeship program. Many students stay on as an employee with the company with which they apprenticed.

Summer Send-Off for NC State

This is a celebration to send off our transfer students who will be attending NC State .

Partnering for Progress

This is an initiative aimed at strengthening the collective efforts to support students and families across Rockingham County. The meeting is open to local businesses, community organizations, and employer partners, as everyone works together to build a stronger workforce pipeline and to ensure that every student has access to the resources they need for education and career success.

Political Candidates Forum

A Political Candidates Forum, sponsored by the Eden, Reidsville, and Western Rockingham Chambers of Commerce.

Carolina College Tour

The Carolina College Tour 2026 will bring representatives from 40 colleges and universities to the RCC campus.

The Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (CACRAO) arranges these tours across North and South Carolina each year.

Sole Purpose

Ancora Compassionate Care CEO Lynn Flanagan, will walk on a treadmill for 12 hours – to raise funds and awareness about the services Ancora provides. The community is invited to join in. For a $25 donation, individuals may walk on one of the treadmills in honor or memory of a friend or loved one. During the live streamed event, Lynn will have “walking interviews” with community leaders as well as Ancora staff members.

Beekeepers Assocation

The Rockingham County Beekeepers Association will hold its monthly meeting, featuring Bob Binnie, owner of Blue Ridge Honey Company of Georgia, who has decades of experience in beekeeping and is a speaker at many state-level and regional conferences.

VFD Stew and BBQ Cook-off

Rockingham County Volunteer Fire Departments will set up tents to cook stew or barbecue. More information will be available at a later date.

Fine Arts Festival

The 83rd annual Fine Arts Festival showcases the talents of artists and craftspeople who live, work, go to school in Rockingham County, or have significant ties to the county. Specific dates and times of when art may be dropped off, the awards ceremony, and when the show is open to the public will be announced at a later date.
