SECU Foundation invests in students

Oct 7, 2025

Rockingham Community College is proud to partner with the State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) Foundation as they continue their commitment to supporting the educational advancement of North Carolina’s workforce.

Thomas Thompson, Vice President – SECU Reidsville, presented RCC with an $18,000 check to support the SECU Bridge to Career Program — an initiative designed to remove financial barriers for students seeking state-regulated or industry-recognized credentials that lead to sustainable wage careers within their communities.

The funding will provide $500 scholarships for up to 30 eligible RCC students, empowering them to gain valuable skills, credentials, and opportunities for long-term career success.

Rockingham Community College extends its sincere appreciation to the SECU Foundation for its continued investment in North Carolina’s students, workforce, and future.
