Isley joins RCC Board of Trustees
Jul 25, 2025Tuesday, July 15 was busy for the Rockingham Community College Board of Trustees.
Alan Isley came onto the board, appointed by the N.C. Senate.
A Reidsville resident, he owns Financial Fixtures and Supply, Inc. The company, established in 2002, provides custom millwork, design and consultation services for the interior of bank branches.
Isley attended Rockingham Community College, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
He has served on the RCC Foundation Board of Directors since 2020, and is a past director of the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association.
Isley replaces Nelson Cole, who had been appointed in 2018 by the governor.
“Honored to serve on the Rockingham Community College Board of Trustees, I’m all in for building a stronger workforce by supporting our students and county with hands-on education that gets results,” Isley said.



In other trustee action, Vice-Chair Charles Rakestraw was reappointed as a trustee by the Rockingham County Board of Commissioners, which first appointed him in 2021.
Chair Randy Judkins was reappointed to the board, this time by the Speaker of the House. She has been a trustee since 2012, first appointed by the governor, and then twice by the Rockingham County Board of Education.
Rockingham County Clerk of Court Abner Bullins administered the oaths of office for the Isley, Rakestraw, and Judkins. The Trustees then elected Rakestraw as chair, and Myla Barnhardt as vice-chair. Barnhardt was appointed as a trustee by the N.C. Senate in 2022.
