Foundation offers $180 scholarship for some WFD course tuition
Dec 19, 2019The RCC Foundation has awarded $10,000 to assist Rockingham Community College students with educational expenses of Workforce Development courses that are 96+ hours and lead to an industry recognized credential that further leads to employment.
Beginning immediately, any student who is registering for an eligible Workforce Development Course will be awarded $180 towards the cost of tuition. After registering for one of the courses, visit the Financial Aid Office in the Whitcomb Student Center to complete an application. The money is awarded on a first come, first served basis.
Eligible programs at RCC include: Nurse Aid, EKG Technician, Phlebotomy, Central Sterile Processing, A+ Certification, Network+, Security+, Welding, Pharmacy Tech, EMT, and Auctioneer.
The following courses begin in January, so be sure to take advantage of this financial help quickly:
NUR-3240 Nurse Aide Level I Jan. 7-Feb. 25 or Jan. -April 27
MED-3002 Central Sterile Processing Jan. 13-March 18
PHM-3250 Pharmacy Tech Training Jan. 14-May 5
EMS-4200 EMT-Initial Jan. 7-May 12 or Jan. 13-May 11
CCT-3110 CompTIA/Cybersecurity Jan. 13-May 4
WLD-3106 Welding for Beginners Jan. 11-May 2
