In May 2018, the citizens of Rockingham County made a powerful investment in the future by approving a quarter-cent sales tax to support workforce development at Rockingham Community College. Thanks to your support, the college has been able to address long-standing infrastructure and technology needs creating a safer, more modern, and more inspiring campus environment.
Your commitment is helping us attract and prepare students for meaningful careers, whether they enter the workforce directly or continue their education at a four-year institution. Because of you, our students have the tools, spaces, and support they need to succeed.
We are deeply grateful for your belief in education and your dedication to building a stronger community.
Thank you for helping us shape the future of Rockingham County, one student at a time.
Respiratory Therapy Program Adds Cutting-Edge Vest Therapy System
Respiratory Therapy students at Rockingham Community College now have a new Philips InCourage vest therapy system, funded by a local sales tax and replacing an older donated unit. The vest helps clear mucus from the lungs, improving quality of life for patients with chronic respiratory conditions, and is used both in student training and community outreach events. Enrollment in the program has grown significantly, leading RCC to hire additional clinical instructors and expand hands-on learning opportunities.
