The 2025 RockATOP Apprentice Signing Ceremony showcases students being accepted into the program.

Local high school juniors and seniors participate in the Rockingham Apprenticeship and Technical Opportunities Program (RockATOP), a collaborative effort among Rockingham Community College, Rockingham County Schools, and local business and industry.

Students take RCC classes – with tuition, books and fees covered – and also gain skills as they work as a paid apprentice. Graduates earn an Associate Degree from RCC and may have the option to transfer those credits to most four-year universities to earn a bachelor’s degree once they finish the apprenticeship program.
