Dec 11, 2020Congratulations to our students who have completed the Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) course at Rockingham Community College, Sherry Doolin, Jennifer Stanley and Barbara Worthington.
Each of these students successfully passed the industry-recognized CMRS certification exam through the American Medical Billing Association as well.
Worthington does not have a history in insurance and billing but shares,
“I have worked as a surgical technician for years and due the physical demands of the job and an injury, I needed to look for another job,” said Worthington, who does not have a history in insurance and billing. “I signed up for this class to pursue a new career. “Mrs. Archer is an excellent instructor and I have learned a lot.”
Doolin and Stanley plan to continue their education by starting classes in the Medical Office Administration Associate in Applied Science degree program at RCC.
Scholarship opportunities are available through the Eagle Train and Gain Scholarship for tuition as well as through the Business Technologies Department Credential Exam Grant, upon successful completion of the applicable course, for industry certification exam fees.
Each of these scholarship opportunities is funded by the RCC Foundation.
