On November 21, Rockingham Community College awarded certificates to the seven graduates of the Career College Customer Service Program.
RCC is charged with finding unique ways to serve the diverse needs of the citizens of Rockingham County. The college recognized a need to assist recent high school graduates who receive an occupational diploma with continuing their education. These students need to be productive but may not be ready for employment.
Students enrolled in the Customer Service Career College Program at RCC mastered the skills necessary in service-related industries such as: telephone etiquette, office safety and etiquette, job readiness skills, keyboarding, teamwork, problem solving, attitude and self-esteem, time management, written and oral communication.
Graduates were: James Brim, Tony Corns, Sara Haley, Natalya Johnson, Izellia Lynn, Justin Mallow, Jason Ragland.
